Biography

Dominick Grimm is a native of San Diego, California. He started his undergrad track at San Diego State University, however with his own experiences as a struggling first-gen, student-athlete, he had to make some adjustments. After transferring to Grossmont College to pursue football, and with the help of his academic advisor, he was fortunate to end up at California Lutheran University where he earned his BA in Communication with an emphasis in Journalism. Once the COVID-19 pandemic hit, Dominick ventured into the TV and Film industry in Los Angeles, CA. There he spent 2 years with a company that coordinated and produced sport specific scenes and projects across the country. Although he enjoyed his work, he felt that he had some unfinished business at SDSU. Lucky enough, he was admitted into the graduate school and was able to balance both endeavors while additionally working on the staff of SDSU’s baseball team in several different roles, highlighted by earning the Mountain West Regular Season Conference title in 2023. There he would earn his Master of Arts of in Learning Design and Technology in the same year. After cultivating his experiences of academic hardship and restoration, at all three levels of community, public, and private institutions along the way, he felt that he wanted to join the support staff to help students of all backgrounds. When not at work, Dominick enjoys participating in all board sports, working on projects in my family’s shop, and getting the best of the outdoors.
