Theari is a first-generation Khmer-American and first-generation college graduate. She completed her undergraduate degree at Western Washington University with a BA in Human Services and a minor in Education and Social Justice. Before becoming an advisor, she was working at a non-profit in her home community of White Center, WA doing community building work that centered youth leadership development and working on amplifying community voice with an anti-racist lens.
